OLD MUTUAL INTERNATIONAL

Old Mutual International provides offshore and cross border wealth management solutions for expatriate and local investors across the world. Old Mutual International is the international arm of Old Mutual Wealth in the UK, a leading wealth management business encompassing managed investment portfolios, platform services and a range of financial products, including tax-efficient propositions.

In 2016, we embarked on a campaign to help ensure the future success of the international adviser industry. As part of the campaign, we were delighted to partner with International Adviser to sponsor their launch of a new set of awards: the International Adviser Best Practice Adviser Awards. The awards are now in their second year, and Old Mutual International is again proud to be continuing the partnership and rewarding business excellence internationally.

We’ve all been witnessing unprecedented change in our industry. Customers’ expectations and demands, together with economic and regulatory reforms, are throwing up new challenges, threats, and opportunities. Research, including our own, shows that many advisers are taking the decision to develop more sustainable business models, with the aim of giving their clients a better and more consistent service. They see this as the best way for them to remain relevant and profitable.

As Old Mutual International, we deal with different regulators from across the globe and we engage with all types of advisers operating different business models – we believe this puts us in a perfect position to support advisers throughout their journey. By sharing our knowledge, expertise, and solutions, advisers can develop their own strategy for building a business that’s truly fit for the future.

Old Mutual International has identified six areas that consistently form part of an adviser firm’s transition. Each element will help in moving a business forward and, by completing all six, firms can truly transform their business model. We’re calling this ‘Future Fit’, a training programme that will help advisers build more sustainable businesses, putting the customer at the heart of their business models.
